Are You Suffering From Emotional Starvation? - Prolog

Feeling a little bored?
Looking for a little action?
Want more out of life?
Feeling left out?
Lonely?

There's a good chance you are being
 Emotional Starved.
There's an even better chance you are to blame.

Like all things diet related we are often unaware of something missing in our daily consumption until we begin to feel ill. Vitamin deficiencies, a lack of natural fibre, too few calories to sustain our level of activity, lack of iodine, salt, magnesium and many more have a profound effect on our feelings of wellbeing. Still even more insidious are the things consumed that trigger an allergic reaction, or things consumed in excess that over time leads us to distress: gluten or lactose intolerance, alcohol related illness, and lung cancer from smoking are a few that come to mind.

Few of us stop to consider that of all the human appetites it's our emotions that rise to the top of the priority list most often. We feel a strong need to feed our emotions. Here the analogy of feeding our bodies and feeding our emotions begins to reveal itself. Emotional turmoil can lead to a loss of appetite or a food binge, two obvious opposites on the dietary scale, bringing brief consolation to our emotional pain, until the physical body begins to suffer too. Emotional starvation can cause the same response , and eventually always makes us physically ill.
